Gwinnett County Public schools officials announced this week that they are looking at requiring students use clear backpacks at school. The district is soliciting community feedback before implementing that policy.
Gwinnett County Public Schools officials are facing criticism for buying clear book bags for students before first waiting to hear feedback from parents about a proposal to require the use of such bags in schools.
The district initially announced last month that it would require students at all schools use clear book bags, starting this school year, and that it would provide bags for all students. That is now being scaled back to a pilot program at select schools, however.
