Unsurprisingly, the bag sold out in 2022, with fans calling multiple stores to check availability, only to be disappointed when they were told there was no inventory.

As a result, smaller stores and boutiques created replica bags, hoping to capitalize on the "Jennie effect."

Recently, Jennie's impact on the popularity of the COS bag was again evident when the brand held its first pop-up event in Seoul, exclusively selling the popular "cloud bag," which has also become known as the "Jennie bag."

Those who attended the pop-up reported that people waited for over an hour for a chance to enter the event.

With Jennie using hers at the airport, overseas, and in her everyday life, the COS bag soon became dubbed the "Jennie Bag." The bag has since become difficult to purchase.
