GRAND THEFT: 11:58 a.m. at Walgreens on North Santa Cruz Avenue. A man stole a backpack full of Christmas gift sets worth about $1,000.

BATTERY: 12:33 p.m. at Vasona Creek Healthcare on Los Gatos Boulevard. A caller reported that her mother was hit by another patient with a plate cover.

PETTY THEFT: 2:42 p.m. on Marchmont Drive. A resident reported that lemons had been stolen off of their tree.

PETTY THEFT: 6:26 p.m. at Breaking Dawn on West Main Street. A disgruntled employee stole a recipe book from the restaurant.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON WITH WEAPON: 9:43 a.m. at North Santa Cruz Avenue and Bean Avenue. A caller saw three men wearing “army type” uniforms carrying guns.
